Fishtrap Lake Boulder Junction, WI

Fishtrap Lake is a 329 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 41 feet. Visitors have access to the lake by launching at the Fishtrap Dam or Resorts private launch's. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

The lake's water is moderately clear. The Lake also access's High Lake (734 acres) and the Manitowish River.  The river also provides a scenic and peaceful canoe route and you can motor boat down it also. It also offers great fishing.

You will see the beauty of the Loons, turtles, ducks, blue herons, eagles and otters that all live on the lake.  You may even see deer along the waters edge, taking a drink of water or even see them swimming across the lake.



All cabins have 14′ aluminum boats included upon request only prior to your stay.  We rent 15 HP motors.  The motors must be reserved prior to your stay. Motor must be rented for the duration of the reservation, meaning no changes or refunds after your arrival. Please inquire about rates.

If you would like to bring your own boat, we do have a private boat launch (for renters only) here at the resort for you to use. We have space for you to park your trailer. All cabins have private piers (very fun to fish from, or sunbaths or to just relax with a book). Some pier have benches.

There are no horse power (HP) restrictions on the lake but we do ask you to not ski in the bay by the resort. We do not allow jetskis as respect for the fisherman and to keep peace on the lake.
